Charles Marie Emmanuel Mangin (b. July 6, 1866, Sarrebourg, Moselle, France-d. May 12, 1925, Paris, France), General in the French Army, served in Sudan and in French North Africa before taking part in World War I. He commanded both French and American troops, 10th Army, in the Second Battle of the Marne, and was nicknamed “The Butcher” by his troops.
